Jimmie Simpson Grand Re-opening

Join Parks and Recreation Staff, me and members of the community for the re-opening of the Jimmie Simpson Recreation Centre with a free community swim and light refreshments. 
Take a dip in one of the two solar-heated pools, which are saving the centre $12,000 a year in operating costs.  The latest upgrades will make Jimmie Simpson even more enjoyable:
·       a new pool filtration system, new lighting fixtures and increased lighting in the pool, gym, multipurpose room, and washrooms
·       painting of the walls and ceiling in the gym and lobby area, new gym ceiling, new nets 
·       improved HVAC and heating systems, replacement of corroded panels
·       additional structural supports for new roof decks
